Hector's Z Scale Trains

What is Z Scale model railroading?

If you would like some background train sounds while viewing this page; you may play a MIDI (MP3) file.  Click the left arrow in the box above, adjust volume to suit.
(Depending on your connection, you may need broadband)

The Hector Olivera:

Other than organ keyboard artistry, Hector also has a model railroading love, in particular the very small Z-Scale. During the summer of 2003, he had an opportunity to re-kindle his old love of Z-Scale, and in his "spare time" he is working on completing the Zorro Zort Railroad

To SHOW you the size, see below...

This shows a US Dime in relationship to the statue of JS Bach in Hector's Z scale town. Note the tracks in the foreground, only a 1/4 of an inch between the rails.

Below you see a field of trees (under construction)

But take a look below to see the scale of the trees:

Yes - the trunks are made of toothpicks.

Take a look below of the German town under development in Hector's guest room - and remember the scale you are looking at is 1 inch of Z = 220 inches in "real life"
