Don't Cry For Me Argentina
For those of you who are familiar with these web pages, you may recall seeing Hector at an early age, but there is another photograph of him that has a special meaning:

This photo was taken by a newspaper photographer in 1951 of
Hector, (at age 5), while he was playing a special Mass
(with the assistance of his father) for a very famous lady in Argentina.
At the conclusion, Hector came down from the
organ loft to be greeted by this lady, who appeared quite frail, and was
surrounded by, apparently, a security detail.
The lady came up to Hector, thanked
him for his performance, and gave him a kiss on the cheek.
Less than six months later, this lady had died (July 26, 1952). The lady was the wife of Argentina's President; Juan Perón ...
María Eva Duarte de Perón, or as she was popularly known; Evita (Little Eva)
During this 10th anniversary of the Organ Power™ Concerts, Hector played Andrew Lloyd Webber's theme "Don't Cry for me Argentina" from the stage show & film, Evita.
Presented below, along with the audio**
of Hector playing the theme is the visual slide
presentation that the audience viewed.
Enjoy, and understand how much this all meant to a 5-year old Hector, and what a
lasting memory it would be.
