Lahaina Port Call

This is our first (of two) port calls where it is necessary to use Tenders to reach the shore

A tender is lowered to the sea . . .

Now has reached the water . . .

. . . heading off to pick us up . . .

. . . A tender heading toward shore

One of the shore options is to take a helicopter ride,  here looking at the vast expanse of the Haleakala Crater.

Again from the Helicopter - some of the sugar cane fields, many of  which are no longer being harvested due to raising labor costs.

Loading up, after a full day on the island. The other port which requires tender service is Kona.
